Another Perfect Day in Paradise

The 38th Annual Golf Tournament narrowly missed the atmospheric river that followed the rest of the week! The heavy mist on that March 20th Monday morning did not stop players from heading out to play some serious golf and supporting Beverly Hospital.

Watch the video from our exciting event and see how it turned out to be a real “slice of heaven” for players.

The day began early for our golfers as they checked in at Friendly Hills Country Club and enjoyed Breakfast Burritos crafted by Sodexo Healthcare. All golfers received a ¼ zip wind shirt, PGA Tour cap, golf balls, golf umbrella, chances to win a golfing foursome, and other raffle opportunities; one of the raffle items was a Sony 75” Smart TV! Everyone had a chance to qualify for the $5,000 Hole In One Putting Contest sponsored by Foundation Chairman, Art Revueltas. Delicious box lunches were graciously provided by local Montebello business Frumento’s Italian Deli. Each golf cart was stocked with refreshments, courtesy of Dr. and Mrs. Ralph Hansen. Jay McCartney from Chevrolet of Montebello challenged golfers to win the Hole in One prize, a brand-new 2023 Silverado LT Crew Cab!

After the tournament, golfers enjoyed dinner and an awards ceremony inside the banquet room overlooking the course. Beverly Hospital President and CEO, Alice Cheng, thanked the golfers and sponsors for their support and partnership in helping us to provide quality healthcare to the community. Major sponsors were Bank of the West, Lilian L. Gong & Associates, Hanmi Bank, and Brascia Builders. The event raised over $74,000!
